I have returned to Glasgow once again after a mostly fun two months in Inverness. Didn’t really think I’d get another long holiday like that again but that was definitely the last one for a long, long time! That is good and bad, I had many good times catching up with old friends and enjoy all that summer had to offer, but doing nothing for two months with no money does get old.
This is also the first time I’ve been home along in a long time, it never really happened in Inverness, there’s always someone about. I’m enjoying it, I like just hanging our on my own every now and then. I have my newly acquired Yankee Candles burning, and my new Ikea lamps shining. This new flat is really nice, something about it it feels much more like home than my old flat.
Also, looking out of my window, I can see my new window box! I know, I know, I’m like a middle-aged mum already, but it brightens up the window sill no end. I’ve got some winter flowering pansies and purple heathers, planted underneath the two are Narcissi, Snowdrops and another one which I can’t remember which will, hopefully, flower at the start of the year into spring, I can’t wait!
-Will post pictures later.
A definite highlight of being home was the annual family outing to Loch Morlich, think the weather was actually colder and cloudier than last year but it was a good a day as always. Boules, barbeque and swimming in the loch…brr!!
