Last night I went to see Fall Out Boy with my BFF. It was a really good show, I think it was hte best I've ever heard them play, and the sound in the SECC is actually really good. I just hate how its so crowded with people who don't know any of the stuff by the band. So you're stuck in the crowd and you can't move, but the people around you don't even seem to care about the band! Really infuriating. They played 3 songs from their first album, theor new single and a collection of songs from the other two.
We had meet and greet before the show, so after way too much waiting around for my liking we finally met them. The setting was really obscure, in one of the big halls in the SECC, where they park the buses. So we're in this massive halls, withs buses along one edge and this wee table in the middle. The huge room just made the band look even more tiny that they already are - it's weird how 4 small people came together to form a band. Anyways...they were all nice enough, Patrick, of course, being the nicest. As I had no Early November questions this year Andy was not up for talking. Joe was very happy(I ended up being next to him for the photo, he's a nice guy) and I talked to Pete briefly about Angels and Kings Barcelona...I managed to be nice and not say anything rude. I even made a bit of a ass of myself...I'm sure it would've been funny to watch!
They never play my favourite songs which makes me a bit sad, but I like when they play Saturday and Nobody Puts Baby in the Corner.
I've included the best photo I took, it was kinda hard though being so far away and all.
Boys Like Girls were support, they sounded good too, The Great Escape is one of the most fun songs ever!!
Going to Barcelona tomorrow. Hope all goes smoothly...well I know the bits we've planned will, the tutor portion on the other hand, I'm sure it will be lesss successful. I'll probably be bored in the airport tomorrow so I'll try and post a Beckett style ticket photo :)
